IE Consulting Club in association with Accenture and Cemex are hosting the “IE Management Consulting Forum 2011″. The forum will be held this afternoon at 4pm and Saturday 9th of April. The event will include presentations, case workshops and discussion panels involving senior business leaders sharing their opinions on different topics in businss.

For International Woman’s Day on the 8th of March, IE Business School hosted a conference focused on female entrepreneurs.  Distinguished business people and entrepreneurs, such as Juan José Güemes, president of IE’s International Center of Entrepreneurship and Diego Sánchez de León, partner at Accenture and responsible for talent and organization, participated in this event to speak about the role of today’s female entrepreneur and the management of the diversity in the companies.

Con motivo del Día internacional de la mujer trabajadora, el pasado 8 de marzo, se celebraron en el Aula Magna de IE Business School en Madrid, las jornadas “Emprender en femenino: reinventando las oportunidades”. Durante estas jornadas, participaron destacadas empresarias y emprendedoras, así como Juan José Güemes, presidente del Centro internacional de Gestión Emprendedora de IE Business School y Diego Sánchez de León, socio de Accenture y responsable de talento y organización, para hablar del papel actual de la mujer emprendedora y de la gestión de la diversidad en las empresas.

Last month, the 2nd edition of IE Women’s Networking event “Women in Business: Seize your opportunities” took place in Munich. The event, which was a great success with more than 100 professional women attending and in line with IE Business School’s core values of diversity and leadership, focused on the Positioning and Career Opportunities from which women can benefit as a result of a changing world and growing diversity in the workplace.

The next IE Women in Business Event will be held on January 27, 2011 in Munich. The Spanish victory last Sunday is a great example of the importance of good leadership and the teamwork. As Santiago Iniguez, the Dean of IE Business School, stated in DeansTalk, Vicente del Bosque, the team’s coach remained calm and collected throughout the tournament and demonstrated to the world the benefits of collaborative leadership. He prioritized strategy over emotions, displayed sportsmanship with his respectful attitude towards other teams and was modest at all times passing on praise to his team.

The team also did their coach proud – they performed exceptionally and by working together won the World Cup. Spain’s King, Juan Carlos, summed it up when he said the “team is an example of sportsmanship, nobility and team work”.

 IE students along with the rest of the world should draw lessons from such fine examples of leadership and teamwork.

El pasado 8 de julio celebramos el IE day en el campus de IE Business School, fue una jornada de networking y de conferencias desarrolladas entre las 17 y las 21 horas, en la que futuros alumnos tuvieron la oportunidad de vivir la experiencia IE, además de acercarse a la realidad empresarial de la mano de expertos académicos y profesionales como Josep Piqué, Shari Carlson, Enrique Dans y Max Oliva.

Dentro del programa de actividades del IE Day, Josep Piqué, ex ministro de Industria, de Asuntos Exteriores, de Ciencia y Tecnología y presidente de Vueling y Bodaclick, impartió la conferencia  sobre “Las oportunidades ante un mundo en transformación” en el Aula Magna de IE.

También participó el profesor de IE, Enrique Dans, blogger reconocido a nivel internacional y experto en Internet y nuevas tecnologías (http://www.enriquedans.com/). Además, se celebró una conferencia sobre liderazgo con la experiencia de Shari Carlson, una emprendedora de éxito, y un taller de trabajo en equipo para el desarrollo de habilidades de liderazgo dirigido por el profesor de IE Max Oliva.

Ernesto Zedillo, visitó el campus de IE Business School el pasado jueves 1 de julio de 2010. Asistió como invitado al Foro de Liderazgo de IE para reunirse con CEOs y presidentes de importantes empresas españolas y multinacionales. Al finalizar el evento, el ex presidente Zedillo, tuvo la oportunidad de reunirse con nuestros estudiantes mexicanos de posgrado en nuestra institución.

El mensaje que ha transmitido a los estudiantes ha sido breve pero alentador dejando claro la importancia de la educación a nivel posgrado en una institución de prestigio como IE Business School, una escuela que ocupa las más altas posiciones en los rankings europeos y mundiales, recalcando también los fuertes vínculos que existen entre México y España.

Ernesto Zedillo fue presidente de México entre 1994 y 2000, es actualmente director del Centro de Estudios sobre Globalización de la Universidad de Yale y también pertenece a los consejos de administración de Alcoa y de Procter & Gamble. Ha trabajado en el Banco Central de México y ha ocupado numerosos cargos en la Administración pública mexicana.
